Maybe it's out of context but Pat Robertson's comment about the death of one man should not keep the U.S. from maintaining arms sales and allies with Saudi Arabia was shocking.
So one man nailed to a cross is now chopped liver?
Yeah, I saw that on Facebook when this site was temporarily offline yesterday. My response was that he hadn't read or paid attention to that part of the bible that says you can't serve both god and Mammon.
Of course we know he never did, because he became a billionaire as head of a "nonprofit" religious organization.
A man gets killed in Embassy A at country B. How is this relevant to any country other than A and B?
But the man worked for a US newspaper, the Washington Post, lived in Virginia, and had a US Green Card. So the US should have an interest.
@TheAstroChuck I hear you and we can be all outraged we want, the truth of the matter this is still a foreign issue. I guess that's what troubles me with this story. A lot of bitching about US intervention worldwide all the freaking time and now there are people blood thirsty on why the US don't jump on it. Can't have it both ways people.
@richiegtt good thing this is not a popularity contest and certainly you and I not going to win it but man, I agree one freaking hundred percent with your comment. This is not our (US) problem and the media discourse keeps pushing whatever they can to make the administration look bad only because midterm is just around the corner.
@TheAstroChuck I am not saying it is acceptable. I am saying it is not a US problem.
@TheAstroChuck "The man behind two kids, who are US citizens"...... You lost me, what? On the other hand, self-centered...to certain extent, aren't we all? But wait, this isn't about me, is it?
@TheAstroChuck OK, I understand. Still a citizen of country A killed in country B by his own people.
@nicknotes I am not saying he wasn't and it's unfortunate what happened to him. My only stand is against the media frenzy to blow things out of proportion. I have read here other postings saying Trump is now putting journalist in danger. That's not just a ridiculous statement but an irresponsible thing to say. Smearing this guy legacy with our current state of events add salt to the wound. I am pretty sure Trump didn't send him to Turkey.
