3 Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri....but then, I am a Huge Frances Macdormand fan!

Excellent movie. She is so good.

Love her too!

Loved it!

Darkest Hour was excellent.
Three Billboards was very good if you can tolerate some artfully portrayed violence.
These are both high quality “films”, not just entertainment.

Three Billboards really did a number on me. I actually cried during an important scene which I won't spoil, involving Woody harrelson's character.

Loved 3 Billboards too!

Still planning to see Blade Runner 20149, I'll let you know if it's a good movie!

I've been wanting to see it too!

Unfortunately not as good as the original

I enjoyed it a lot, beautiful camera work.

"Shape of Water," "Lady Bird," and "I, Tonya."
And "The Last Jedi" - but I'm a Star Wars nerd. 🙂

Lady Bird was absolutely great, I enjoyed The Last Jedi, despite all the negative fan reviews. It has flaws, but I still liked it. Shape of Water was beautiful, dark and disturbing and also hopeful at the same time.

I truly loved "The Shape of Water." Beautiful cinematography, and a good message about understanding and tolerance.

I know his work on Pan's Labyrinth and something else he did. It is a surreal atmosphere were reality and fantasy mesh into one. It is a style of writing from years ago in the spanish language. Nobel prize Writer Garcia Marquez comes to mind, having said that he is an accomplished writer already. But the movie only has one ending possible and no gray areas.

I cried at the end..

@Charlene So did I.

Darkest hour (If you like British history) also Lion, that movie made me weep like a baby. Wonder Woman because I am in love with Gal Gadot.

Saw the darkest hour and fell asleep on it. I knew too much I guess about the events leading to it and surrounding it... I like war period movies with a lot of war on it. like any good soldier or sailor boy... but an oscar winning performance for sure. Lots of makeup.

I watched Harlock: Space Pirate last night. It was a pretty fun sci-fi movie. Itvwould make for a pretty interesting video game.

It may seem corny but the "Gardians of the Galaxy" movies i think would be super entertaining for everyone. Lots of jokes. Lots of action. Even romance. Both were very good.

Depending on what style of film:
The keeper of lost causes.
Children of Men
Born equal
The secret window

If you want to see a good parody/satire on the (biblical) apocalypse, check out THIS IS THE END (it's a couple years old or so). And if you indulge in cannabis, toke up a little first. Guaranteed a good time for all.

Haven't seen them yet, but i want to see "Murder on the Orient Express", and Gary Old man in the one about Churchill

Phantom Thread is the best movie I've seen this year.

I'm headed to Wal-Mart to buy, "Mother!"

I just saw one on Netflix. It's called "The Good Catholic". It's about a young priest who meets a woman and becomes conflicted and starts to ask why he became a priest in the first place. It's light and is billed as a comedy. Fortunately, this happens a lot.

Saw 3 Billboards the other day, good movie. Watched Hostiles and liked that also.

Netflix keeps producing original movies and series, and their algorithm, as in Facebook, showcases new content in its pop-up previews that they know I'd probably like.

For instance, I keep getting offered quirky new space time continuum movies and shows, and watched one last night.

I liked "Call Me By Your Name." It was quite thoughtfully and artfully directed. It pushed new ground It was difficult for me, as a straight man, to fully appreciate but I believe I did and that is to the credit of the director.

Not a film for someone looking for casual entertainment however.

"The Shape of Water "

"Murder on the Orient Express"

Both exceptionally well filmed !

Seen "the shape of water", "all the money in the world", "the post". All 3 recommended but neither a real date movie.

I saw The Post (witm Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep) on Sunday, very good!

I saw Hostiles (with Christian Bale) today. Very violent but good. I think it's based on a true story.
