Please share any fun thing that you did on Halloween. Pictures are welcome. I took my dog out as Batman and I was Poison Ivy and we gave out candy to kids downtown. There was even free hot dogs given out by a church, (Ha-Ha, No, I did not burst into flame when I ate one).
Thanks again. Cute photo.
is that a candy wrap on the floor? (I know, it's hard to resist)
@Lukian Yes, it was. I would like to blame it on Max, but I had candy-coated chocolate.
My Halloween wasn't "Halloween-y" at all. I turned off the lights and hid. Put up zero decorations this year. However, I did spend the whole evening talking online with another member of this site. We have made a real connection and now have a plan to meet F2F (we live in different states). I'm excited!
Me and my big kid took her sister out Trick or treating with cousins. The youngest are 9 & 10 so might be the last time. We decided middle school will probably be a good cut off. Had a good night until we hit a deer on the way home. The deer took off so I guess we won't know how he fared. He could still run at least. Everyone was OK and the car seems to function the same (minus the window). It almost seemed fitting to be showered in glass at the end of Halloween. One kid cried the whole way home and the other wouldn't stop laughing hysterically... It was interesting.
I was at the homeless shelter that I volunteer at.
We had earlier in the week put up some decorations and such on the main deck where every one eats, meets, or what ever gathering there might be. It's pretty big, so every one could attend.
there was no way to get every one into costume, but a few organizations that donate often all came with gift bags full of candy and such.
there was even a band that came, and played a few halloween tunes.
It was great to have every one have a great time there.
I used to work with homeless people. It is great to help people participate in healthy fun. I had a spider that jumped out when motion activated, due to phobias, that decoration had to go back home.
No picture of you as Ivy, disappointing.
here.
@alanalorie I knew you would look great, and I was right. Thank you. That was very nice of you. And Batdog?
"I Love Halloween!" Group Hi, it sounds like you had a blast! I had a hundred or so trick or treaters. Bought lots of candy gave it all away. made a scary house. had some fam over. We made pulled pork, baked potatoes with all the fixin's, mac and cheese, coleslaw, a couple pies, good beer, and weed. Also made a fire outside. Took turns scaring some of them. Made a little girl cry, but It was fun. I like to keep the trick-or-treat spirit alive. I saw you joined my Halloween group thank you I’m so happy you found us. ?"I Love Halloween!" Group

Had a fire going in a brazier at the end of my driveway. Sat in a lawn chair drinking rum and coke while handing out candy.
We scared the bejeezus out of kids and adults. Was fun!
Great I wanted to do Harley too. I struggle over which to be. I was a psychologist and so was Harley before she met the joker so I thought it might be fun. I saw women and girls in all type of Harley's costumes.
@alanalorie I was a psychologist and so was Harley before she met the joker ...you met the joker?
I was rusty nail in the foot guy. I blew a tire driving by a construction site and endup stepping on a nail that went through the bottom of my shoe right into the arch of my foot. I changed my tire with blood dripping from the hole in my shoe and enjoyed an evening getting shots and stitched. I don't think I'll be that again next year.
Make sure you get on antibiotics for that! I learned recently the bacteria from the shoe is very dangerous.
@Alimacbean I am and I think they also gave me a shot for that too.
Hey that sounds like my 50th birthday....
I earned a tetnus shot last year.
@paul1967 working on my mower, stepped around the corner of the shed stepped on a 1x4 that had a monster (not kidding 3 or 4 inch) nail sticking out of it. Luckily my dad saw the ensuing flip and came to my rescue. Had to pull my shoe off to get the nail out of my foot... off to doc... tetanus... but I did get to vote even of I had to hobble to do it!
I went to enemy territory in Boston to walk around and then eat at Cheers.
