Okay folks what is The Classic Atheist Sunday?
Is it vibrators and wine?
A decadent brunch?
We know where we aren't - so how do we spend the day!? Feel free to expound in the comment section.
Usually answering silly polls on Agnostic because I'm addicted & don't have a Real Life any more. Oh, that & Bar-B-Qing toddlers, of course!
Mmmm, bbq'd toddler! Yum!
Mmmmm..fricasee L'enfant aux vin..
A connoisseur I see!
Holy shit! Are you eating small children in a wine reduction on Sundays? Say it isn't so! ; )
@txtreehugger a beurre rouge..or a bernaise..depends on the cut of meat..
Also I do my own butchering..
@Charlene Oh my! That's too fricken real!
@AlbertSchepis real goood
sunday is not meaningful to all atheists. many of us were never christians.

For some it's simply a day off from work. I was thinking of that too.
@RavenCT i have met a surprising number of christians who go to church on wednesday night. i never did learn why. they went after work.... i don't know if they considered it the seventh day or just didn't like the sunday-morning rush hour or what. maybe they just didn't like criminal minds.
g
@genessa As a Roman Catholic we often went on Saturday nights. Either 4:30 pm or 6 pm. Hated that a lot.
Maybe it's why I enjoy Movie nights so much now? lol They are held later and no one makes me! (And I can sleep in on Sunday too!).
Sunday Mass was always at 10 am. As a teenager that was horrifying.
@AmiSue i was never religious (well, a little bit one year, age 14, sort of kind of) but yeah! blue laws suck! i've written about them. lemme see if i can find the link to that page. i apologize in advance about the state of my site. i have health issues. i have not worked on it for ages.
found it! [sh1.webring.com]

Torn between "the great outdoors" and a good book. Finally got around to reading. "The Fault In Our Stars" today. That's a good Sunday
How did I forget books? Books and cats....
@RavenCT Yeah like I said, I'll be with a bunch of breakwater cats and a Kindle, reading about cats too. It will be so relaxing.
Remember ladies, if your vibrator whines, it's time to replace either the batteries or the whole thing entirely.
Exactly what happened with my last ex?
For me - stoned, drunk, and fornicating!
Count me in. Fornicate me baby.
I presume most of us, like me, do what everyone else does with the exception of attending church. I have never had a religion so my normal Sunday has been much the same for a long time....after breakfast go buy the Sunday paper (The Sunday Times) and spend much of the rest of the day reading it, indoors at this time of the year...in the summer outside in the garden. Have glass of wine or a G &T before dinner (I like to cook something really nice on Sundays as this is a hangover from when husband and family were all here and we made a point of a long family meal, sometimes with guests), today I am having salmon drizzled with balsamic and honey and coated in herbs, baby boiled potatoes and a broccoli/cauliflower/carrot medley....Creme Caramel and fresh strawberries for dessert. After dinner, I will watch some TV and turn my attention to the 2 devilishly difficult crosswords in the ST and probably be back on here just before bedtime. Now, just prior to dinner I am going to FaceTime my son and two grandsons in Leicester....so bye for now.
Vibrators and wine, you crack me up. I'm doing school work but I would rather be having a decadent brunch or out in nature. A movie or netflix day is always great too. No shopping.
Hi,
for me it's a longer walk with my dog and and preferably someone to have a conversation with or remain silent as well. Reading, meditating, going to a concert, have coffee or tea with people I know or want to know. These sort of things.
Now that is a lovely day!
I'm actually going to spend the day along the local breakwater where I feed about 30 cats. I'll sit with some of them while we listen to the waves and watch people walk their dogs.
@AlbertSchepis now that is a lovely day!
This was the first thing I saw after a long time away from the site. Cracked me up. So thanks.
Usually a trip to the gun range. PEW PEW!!! Very therapeutic and I am becoming a better shot.
Make sure to wear your eye protection and a hat! Ask me about having long thick hair and not wearing a hat. A few panicked moments ensued. Live and learn. It's now packed in my case.
