Has anyone else ever been tempted to buy an electric car, and then wire some strategically hidden external speakers all around it for the sole purpose of loudly playing the Jetsons' car noise while driving down the road?

If people could have custom sounds for their car like ringtones for their phone they might sell better. Forget saving the planet or giving the stiffarm to the Saudis, it’s about drawing attention. That’s how you sell stuff in America.
