@ClaytonE83 umm, when i was listed as "looking", not once, in the several years did I get a female pic.....because I filled out the form properly. If you are getting pix of men, you either did something wrong or want them. Period.

I don't think the disparity is quite that bad but I understand that more men are on the site; that's partly why I think they should change that little aspect of the site, it's basically the top of the front page of the app.

@OwlInASack either way it's not useful. I'm not going to see a picture of a guy without any other content and go to his profile and message him. It's pointless from my perspective for it to be the first thing I see when I open the app.

@OwlInASack dude, no need to attack me. I was trying to give the site makers feedback, I'm not being homophobic. I also have some experience in building sites and marketing and using a couple dating sites in the past. Was trying to be helpful. I do wonder how you jumped to the conclusion I'm so unbelievably narrow minded though; I'm trying to explain myself thoroughly enough on this thread . Maybe you should work on your reading comprehension and making quick judgements.

I'm not looking to browse random guys' profiles. I didn't join for that. Plus many of them might just be here for dating. I'm also here for community but something else could go in it's place. It's not professional for a so called dating site(I know it's also a community site but hopefully you get my point)

@Redheadedgammy no, just Everytime I open the app the first thing at the top just shows random members' avatars and they happen to be mostly guys. I still see adds for this site on Facebook advertising it as at least partly a dating site. Just giving some feedback because I don't think it's helping the site... There is plenty of other content it could show me.

@ClaytonE83 It looks to me that there are a lot more men on the site than women. That may be why all their pics come up first. Perhaps because women aren't as open to admitting they are atheists? Not sure, but I think if you put your preferences in the search box you would get women members to look at. I didn't even realize it was a dating site as I joined due to my husbands death and wanted a place to go to talk with other non believers.

@Redheadedgammy no worries, they advertise it on Facebook as a dating site and community site. I don't necessarily want to see a bunch of random pics of women either without context, there are more interesting/apt things they could put at the top right when I open the app like news or posts by other members that would be more engaging.

@ClaytonE83 I agree, there are other more interesting things the site administrators could put at the top. I'm sure as the site develops the look of the site will change. Good luck in meeting someone, and just remember to jump in and join in conversations as that's a great way to get to know people on the site.

@Redheadedgammy thank you for the well wishes. I have been in here for 9 months though, I just don't post a lot, I browse other posts more. I stopped considering using it for dating for a while but I keep seeing ads on Facebook calling it a dating site, so was just trying to give a bit of feedback, not specifically trying to stir the pot.
