The chance of a government shutdown is more real than its has been in awhile.Many of the Republican Congressmen that were defeated in November have left Washington already. or will have by end of week. This means that when the deadline is reached next Friday, if an agreement hasnt been reached, all those Repub. will probably not return to vote on anything until after the Chritmas holiday when new members get sworn in. Since they own the majority with them gone, there are not enough votes to pass a new budget.
So if a compromise budget is not agreed upon this week, we may be looking at a Christmas present of government shutdown. Holiday Greetings from our politicians.

@t1nick I think that us the new normal. I was Extremely poor for quite some time, twice....I do know the fear
45 claims the economy is doing great yet continues to run up record deficits fueled by his completely unnecessary tax cuts to the rich. Billions of dollars going to farmers due to the ridiculous tariffs that have cost thousands thier jobs and will cost thousands more.
He could care less if people receive thier social security checks or the military receive theirs. He envies the military because the didn’t have the guts to serve, doesn’t mean he cares about them.

They don’t pass budgets they just bump the debt ceiling which is something that I wish we could away with

I am not familiar with this as i don't live in the US but does it mean that government workers will not get paid because of this, or, please educate me.

If it comes to a shutdown. Yes govt workers will not get paid, includung the military. Perhaps politicians will (lol).
