My inspiring message to all is a quote by Gaylord Nelson, “The ultimate test of man’s conscience may be his willingness to sacrifice something today for future generations whose words of thanks will never be heard,” May peace and Love be your ever present master!
Very nice post. When I talk to people about my biggest issue, climate change, I usually include my desire to preserve the beauty of Earth.... not just for my kids and grandkids, but also for people living hundreds or thousands of years from now.....even if they never know of our efforts to do so. It feels good to be part of a grand "oneness"......
I agree!
Instead we have had people in power who have done the exact opposite--taken everything out of the system for themselves leaving huge debts for younger generations.
So true...and how come even trump’s cult, isn’t marching in the street over just the National debt?
Beautiful, thanks for sharing. May peace, love, joy and loads of Prosperity be yours in the new year.
...and the same back to you!
Anyone with an ounce of sense (i..e. not a Republican) knows that we all need to leave the world a better place than we found it for our children and grandchildren.
...you would think?
Thank you, and same for your life..???
Thank you dear Charlene!
Thank you for those wishes and may the same be to you.
I agree but this sentiment by Nelson requires a degree of altruism. Science is still debating whether that is real but it is a good goal to rise to. I just received my after-life level pin from the Freedom From Religion Foundation. This level is not for my life but the money goes into a scholarship fund to help students. They are judged based on essays they write concerning certain topics [ffrf.org]
So you are already doing your part! I appreciate that now!
Send it to Donald.
It would fly over his head, like birds leaving his brain!! Which is all that is in there anyway! Only they are dead and can’t even fly out of his brain!
“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.” -Greek Proverb
Octogenarians in Japan are volunteering to clean up radiation from Fukishima so their kids don't have to.
and some of us want to help with climate change even though we will be dead before the effects are truly felt...so many have lost their commitment to make the world a better place for those who follow...nice comment there...
