It would be helpful if you posted a few things you particularly liked in the past, so one would know if we have the same taste. That said, I watch way too much video, due to a disability, and here are some highly recommended by me, Breaking Bad, Happy Valley, The Fall, Parenthood, Gotham, oh, Ozark on NF, with Jason Bateman and Laura Linney is fantastic, but dark. I love Bateman. I do alot of series on dvd from the library, so the following are not on NF, but worth seeking out, Ray Donovan, the Story of Us, The Wire, and Prison Break. I hope I'm not displaying too much of my low browness, haha. I do watch documentaries and non fiction as well, but hey, it really is the golden age of tv, there is just too much excellent drama series available.
The Great British Baking Show! Real UK people, competing unbelievably hard for a simple trophy....no hype, quiet, yet gripping...hypnotic even!
Netflix, 6 seasons, and sheep/ducks/flowers too.!
Following your post, I'm stranded for a month with a fractured knee. I just got Netflix and I have Prime. I see Netflix in my future.
Ouch! Hope you have an excellent surgeon!
Thanks! I do! But so far don't need surgery, but can't bend my leg for a month, can't drive and I'm barely walking. It has to heal, and it's only day four.
Marvelous mrs maisel is awesome.
I'm in a lot of pain right now, I feel ill. Yes, I need distractions.
On Netflix...One of the best miniseries I have ever watched, "Justified" with Timothy Olyphant. Great dialog, unanticipated twists and turns. Being a High Functioning Aspberger's Syndrome person (the main character, a Swedish woman police detective likewise afflicted), although somewhat violent (several murders), I really liked "The Bridge", a miniseries made in Denmark. The main character, "Saga" is socially unaware and odd, but performs expertly at her detective job.
it's "Bron", Daish/Swedish version, tyvm. "The Bridge" is the American/Mexican remake, and "The Tunnel" is the English/French version
Justified is very good.
@coralisthree Finished the Danish/Swed entire four seasons, finished first season of the "Tunnel", another two disks of "The Tunnel" will arrive (Netflix via U.S. Mail), this coming week.
@dahermit i still need to watch the most recent seasons of both bron and the tunnel
Altered Carbon if you haven't watched it yet. Memories of Alhambra if your'e ok with subtitles. Midsomer Murders if you need 19 seasons of something to marathon.
OmG, another Midsommer Murders fan! Do you miss the Real Barnaby? I think there was more humor when Tom was there!
@AnneWimsey I think there was more obvious humor with Tom. John is more the "privately amused" type.
If you're into cannabis, then I would recommend the docu-series, Weediquette on Hulu. It is very informative.
The Expanse is great. Really high production value. Looks good on the big screen
Recently I watched Watership Down (CGI animation) and Hi Score Girl (anime) on Netflix.
Other shows on Netflix:
I like the new Lost in space, I'm still trying to erase the originals in my brain
The 1998 movie Lost in Space or the series reboot?
@NoMagicCookie the reboot the movie sucked too.
@NoMagicCookie I don't think 1998 is considered "new"
@joeymf86 All a matter of time relate time. When contrasting a series that ran from 1965 to 1968, 1998 is new.
@NoMagicCookie True, except there's a show that started in 2018. That would be a better choice for "new" than a show from 1965 or a movie from 1998.
Some of my recent favorites include....
bird box was a terrible take on a quiet place
Actually, A Quiet Place was a rip off of the novel which was used as the inspiration for Bird Box.
@webbew1 well the movie a quiet place was far better then bird box
