Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Why?
My dogs, then my purse....things are meaningless, but driver's license & credit cards will see me through!
nice
Since it’s just me and the rattie roommate, I’d have time to save my computer, purse, keys, strong box with passport and important papers, photo albums, and RPPC collection.
My computer. But I'd be able to grab my phone, and it would be smart to grab my car keys. Don't have loved ones or pets, so I figure I could grab a few items instead, on my way out the door.
This did happen when my mom was in this very condo decades ago, when the fire alarm bell went off. She went down to the parking lot with her nightie on and that's all. Whole place burned, but she was allowed in a few days later and was able to retrieve one thing... It was the photo collage of all of us kids and grandkids. It was melted and charred a bit. Nowadays, all those photos would be in my computer and phone.
Probably my wallet so I don’t have to deal with the DMV to get a new license. Birth certificate and passport along those lines but I keep those in a fireproof safe. If my wallet was already on me maybe my computer because it was expensive and has older pictures on it. Then again most of them are on the cloud. Perhaps the spare FOB to my car because those can be a bitch to replace. I try to live a fairly minimal life so if I lost everything I feel I’d be okay.
