Comey, who has a contentious relationship with the man who fired him, to say the least, appeared to respond to Trump’s Saturday-morning tweet storm calling Comey a “total sleaze” and a “crooked cop.”
“I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made,” Comey tweeted, quoting former President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Let's see we are supposed to feel sorry for the guy who went against protocol and sabotaged the election. When his boss went against him he played the victim. All he is good for is helping expose tRump.
Both sides of voters hated him at one point. The Dems hated him for investigating Hillary Clinton, and the Reps hate him for investigating Trump. So I guess his enemies are American voters. People have short memories. As long as an establishment shill is in their corner, they like him/her.
I don’t recall word of any FBI investigation about Trump before the election. Let me know if I’m wrong please. I do recall hearing that there was a group of Trump supporters within the FBI who may have had something to do with her email search.
@jerry99 What you said is irrelevant. Comey is a Republican and Dems said it was a witch hunt when he investigated Clinton. Did he not investigate Hillary Clinton? After he did that, did he not talk bad about Trump and investigate him? Didn't Democrat voters hate him when Hillary was being investigated? Don't the Republican voters hate him now that he investigated Trump?

i think it is understandable for comey not to be terribly fond of the guy who asked for his personal loyalty, asked him to halt an fbi investigation as a personal favor, fired him for not complying, confided in russians that he considered comey a nutcase, and continued to slander comey relentlessly ever since.

No doubt Comey got the shaft for refusing to kiss Trump's ass on demand, but I'd be a lot more sympathetic if he weren't also the guy who cost Hillary the election.
@jerry99 he didn't cost her the election. he made a comment that was uncalled for, but it wasn't anything like grabbing pussy. he did not publicize the fact that the fbi had found more emails and had to look at them; he sent a PRIVATE letter to the committee that had interrogated him, trying desperately to get him to diss hillary (he refused) and jason chaffetz released it (illegally) to the media. the comment is on comey but the letter is on chaffetz and even THAT did not cost hillary the election; she won the popular vote, remember. so who was affected by the comment? a hell of a lot fewer folks than were affected by the pussy-grabbing. so no, comey did not cost hillary the election. the russians did.
g
@genessa He sent a politically charged letter to a congressional committee expecting it to stay private? So you're saying he's stupid? The FBI was supposed to have a quiet period before an election where they don't do anything that might be interpreted as political. Comey's FBI was all over Hillary's emails for months before the election. And howcumizit that nobody thought they should take a look at Trump's correspondence given all the crimes he was accused of and forced to settle?
@jerry99 i read the letter. it was not in and of itself politically charged, no, i am not calling him stupid and yes, it should have remained private and maybe he not stupidly but mistakenly expected it to stay private. and the fbi WAS investigating him. whether or not they looked at his correspondence is not a matter of public record; i would not assume they refrained. but you seem hell-bent on blaming comey for hillary's getting almost three million more votes than trump and calling it his costing her the election. weird.
