So, bad night. Went to the gym early (I haven't been out at 0500 in ages!) Came home, checked ag.com and took a nap. Wake up to ringing phone with local number. Recorded voice says important information about lowering your credit card APR. So, press one and get to a human. He goes into the spiel about such a magnificent interest rate on my account because Experian authorized it or some such crap. And I asked, "which card?" Answer "Oh, your Visa or Mastercard". I said, "Specifically which account is authorizing this?" And the next thing I heard was click! I did absolutely laugh out loud! So, scammers are out there, phising for your credit information. Be aware!

Hang up immediately and block the number each time.

I get those scam calls almost daily. It is a shame that over half of the calls that I get these days are such damnable intrusions.

We get them all the time, but hang up right away.....never push buttons.

Another big one here is......"I vant to dalk do you about your Vindowz gumputuh"......sigh......

On the off chance that someone is actually listening, I usually tell them to fuck off.

@jerry99 Tried that...it never works.

Yeah, but I feel better. I don't usually get to tell people that.

Good technique. On repeat calls answer [STATE] attorney generals office, phone fraud division. How may I help you? Generally gets them off the line instantly.
