Would you vote for Kamala Harris for President? Kamala Devi Harris (/ˈkɑːmələ/ KAH-mə-lə; born October 20, 1964) is an American attorney and politician who has served as the junior United States Senator from California since 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as the 32nd Attorney General of California from 2011 to 2017, and as the 27th District Attorney of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011. On January 21, 2019, she officially announced her campaign to run for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in the 2020 United States presidential election.
Harris was born in Oakland, California, and is a graduate of Howard University and University of California, Hastings College of the Law. In the 1990s, she worked in the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and the City Attorney of San Francisco's office. In 2004, she was elected District attorney of San Francisco.
Harris was narrowly elected as California's Attorney General in 2010 and was reelected in 2014 by a wide margin. On November 8, 2016, she defeated Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election to succeed outgoing Senator Barbara Boxer, becoming California's third female U.S. Senator, and the first of Jamaican or Indian ancestry.[1]
Harris has supported Medicare-for-all, legalization of recreational marijuana, sanctuary cities, passing a DREAM Act, and lowering taxes for the working and middle classes while raising taxes on corporations and the wealthiest top 1% of Americans.
Harris formally announced her run for president on January 27, 2019,[2][3][4] where she vowed to fight for the "largest middle class tax cut in a generation" while championing progressive issues.
I'm tired of people with military/law/corporate backgrounds in politics (and I'm a vet!). Clearly we need more educators, scientists, and other people come come from careers not based on dominating other humans to be leading our nation if we are ever going to act right as a nation.
I would vote for your dog, if it was the only alternative to Trumplerism!
My dog Sophie is very and agreeable. She's willing to run.
i will vote for the democratic candidate whoever that is. do i like harris best of all the contenders? i don't know. she seems fine. no candidate will be perfect. i don't know why everyone seems to expect to find one candidate who is perfect, and just about die of disappointment, maybe even to the point of not voting, or voting foolishly, when nobody turns out to be perfect. NOBODY is perfect. choose the best candidate available. if you're that disappointed, run for office.

Any Democrat. Any. Except Comrade Chump. =0}
For a country woman you are quite liberal as most of the ones I know are conservative and support Trump.
Russia isn't communist and hasn't been since 1988.... They are fascists now....
The last of my crusades is cannabis decriminalization at the federal level. As she has come out front in favor this change, being Jamaican & East Indian American, laughing it off, she is my front runner at the moment. Senator Sherrod Brown, keep it in your pants.
She only said it she would never follow through on it. Some of her largest donors are private prisons who depend on the failed war on drugs....
Too soon to say. I think this will be an interesting race though. I can tell you who I WON'T be voting for (not that I did anyhow). I think this website will be a good forum to share info and get great feedback though throughout the next presidential election. I know there'll be a lot of opinions!
Her versus Trump, yes I would vote for her. Otherwise I am not a fan of her policy history.
Let's see. Would I vote for someone who has spent their life working for the public vs some who are only about themselves...Seems like a no brainer... to me anyway
I am from California and would never vote for her because she is nothing but a Republican pretending to be a Democrat. She takes money from corporate interests like Wells Fargo, Time Warner/Comcast (now Spectrum), and others to betray her constituents. As AG she took money from a White Collar Defense Attorney and refused to sue Trump university and others. I look forward to her being primaried out next time around and seeing her whine....
Would prefer a candidate who has been mostly on the right side of issues their whole careers instead of on the right side of issues for today. Will vote for her if she is the Democrats nominee but she feels like another put their finger in the air to test the winds candidate.... I could be wrong, don't know a whole lot about her.
I like Kamala Harris and will vote for her unless she goes totally bonkers.
Maybe you should look up her history....
Polls like this are unscientific and we need to be wary of the results. At this point in time (2/26/19), I have not made up my mind as to who to support in a 2020 primary. I want to wait for the debates to flush out the candidate with the most potential to oust Trump from office.
I don't know enough about her to decide, but I am a registered democrat
Check her donors on open secrets she is a sell out and needs to go...
I will vote for ANY Democrat. ANY.
Then don't vote for her she just pretends to be one...
