Ten states introduce "heartbeat" abortion bans
I am shocked to see Illinois on the list when Chicago was one of the only places women could get an abortion in the late 60's and early 70's...the state obviously has regressed...
Let's hope the introduced legislation doesn't pass...

Jane's Collective provided safe underground pregnancy termination thru doctors who had lost their license & risked prison in order to help women. The reasons for the lost license to practice were varied. Wealthy women just went to Sweden. Or Mexico where a contact had a surgical unit in his hacienda with nurses & a staff of caregivers. The Episcopalian Church was a conduit for those not wishing to risk a Chicago police bust. It is now up to the fertile class/community to protect their right to body autonomy.
@Countrywoman yep...we had all sorts of drivers, code words, and even ways to help finance...I made runs to Chicago weekly...
Dangerous times!
I am in total agreement. I feel a return to my very young days. We may need a rise of ANTIFA types to save the America we should have. My veteran friends don't like when I say such things.
I'm pretty sure I just said it, but I really hate pro-lifers, and the republican
assholes they elect to push their intrusive agendas.
The unborn do not deserve ANY rights that would supersede those of women
who are already here.
No fetus, in the history of pregnancy, has ever been guaranteed any right to life.
Nor should they be, ever.
I hate the term pro life because I am pro life, just pro choice as That is real life and they usurped the term pro life to make the appearance that if you are pro choice you must be pro death. Ask them what they will do to better the lives if poor mother's and poor children. Or ask what their "pro life" stance is on the death penalty.
@Beowulfsfriend Exactly. Calling themselves "pro-life" is hypocritical.
@Gooniesnvrdie You are exactly right about that. They are only "pro-birth".
