Never heard of it and certain scramblers don’t require your keys anyway. But there’s always something new so I guess that it wouldn’t hurt.

I saw this video a couple of years ago. It was presented to me as authentic but I've never cared enough to verify it.
I use the old bicycle protection scheme -- Nobody steals an old bicycle. Lol.

Maybe a key would be the solution. Sometimes there are too many inventions that are just useless.
