i don't go into the kitchen. i eat it however it was made
I melt honest to gawd butter in a cast iron skillet & run my bread through the melted butter till both slices are evenly coated. Layer in my cheese, sometimes bacon & tomato if I wanna get fancy, & grill to a beautiful golden brown over medium low heat. Serve with ice cold dill pickles.
You my lady are truely committed. well done.
Both. And I fry extra cheese on the last side down. Burny cheese....
I love burny cheese but I never did that!
I butter up whoever is around for a sammich
The bread but the butter has to be semisoft and the pan hot.
Butter the bread, the pan has been seasoned with Coconut oil
Bonus points for coconut oil!
@maturin1919 Then I must be a stripper! I use coconut oil all day long! I've made soap, deodorant, lotions, lip balm, and hair lotions with it. I use it on my skin and eat it. I even clean with it.
@HippieChick58 exACTLY. .AND i PUT it in my coffee !
@AmmaRE007 I drink my coffee cold. Yes, even in winter. So the coconut oil just kinda sits there....
@HippieChick58 I like my coffee HOT ! hahaha
@AmmaRE007 There is only one reason I drink coffee - caffeine kick. So I chug that cup/glass of coffee mixture down as fast as I can. I don't want to taste it, it has a few other supplements in it as well. After the caffeine kicks in I'm a nicer person.
@HippieChick58 I am the same..way but I have over the years developed more of a taste for it.. and it goes down easier.. hot with cream.. no sugar..
@AmmaRE007 I use cream, no sugar because I've cut sugar out of my diet. I add CBD oil and Collagen Hydrolysate. Both of those are arthritis and damage to my knees and thumb.
I guess it kind of goes both ways. I put butter on the bread, but it ends up in the pan.
I don't use butter, but I do put mayo on the bread. It has a higher burning point than butter so I can use more robust cheeses that take longer to melt.
I make faux ones with no butter, if I have bread around. I usually only have bread if I bake. Toast the bread in the oven to brown. Put cheese in two slices and wrap in foil or place in a covered pan and put back in the oven to melt.
