Love my jazzmaster. I usually have it mixed in with with my kit. A ES-175D & my Gretsch G100 Synchromatic. You have excellent taste in guitars my friend
Thanks, Red. So do you. ? The Guitar center here has an all original 1963 Gretsch with a Bamboo top going for $2,395... I had never even heard of them using Bamboo before. Now I have to go back and plug it in. ?
@Captain_Feelgood One of those rare instruments I drool over Hope your set goes well
So, do you play guitar? Lol. Jk
Nope... Just like the looks of them,,, and taking them to parties.. ?
@Captain_Feelgood useful for picking up pretty birds? LOL
Where is the party at?????? ???
Here in NC... a bit of a drive for your, but come on down. ?
@Captain_Feelgood Yeah, bit of a drive. If I had the time I would hop on a plane. How I wish...… Have fun !!!
Over the years I've been a proud owner of such classics as a 59, and a 68 Strat, and many others.
But I do have to add that my Ibanez RG550, and my Gem, trump all of them. A maqtter of personal preference I guess. but once I was able to get the same David Gilmore sound out a different guitar, plus a myriad of other sounds from the same guitar, I was hooked.
To each is own, but since I've been playing Ibanez, I have had a great love romance with those guitars.
JMHO.
Very cool!, I've got an awesome Ibanez Bass that I love. They make awesome guitars, and I heard great things about that one. Everyone seems to like that ceramic neck pick-up..
Nice setup. Only 30 amps though? You mic-ing the amp, running to the board, or just doing an acoustic type gig?
You'd be surprised how loud that thing can get.. ? But yeah, they'll mic it if it's in a larger room for sure.
@Captain_Feelgood Yea...50 amps is usually enough to overcome drums. We run "acoustic" gigs at our distillery, with wood walls and high metal ceiling - most bands/sound guys always have it so loud you can't even hear customer's orders from 3 feet away.
Green with envy you swine
During a bad time in my life years back I sold my entire collection bar one (including my Gibson Les paul copy and my 1950s Hofner Archtop Sunburst)
The only one I refused to sell no matter what was my first guitar, bought for me as a joint 11th birth present by my dad and late great uncle.
Good luck for tomorrow
I hear yah... Yeah, I could never get rid of my first guitar either. My mom got it for me when I was about 12. A Yamaha acoustic.. ?
