I'm disappointed that this site is becoming less usable unless you become a member of a particular group.
There are a lot of groups and I belong to a few or two because we have a common love of say music, but my beef is that YOU HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO COMMENT. That kinda pisses me off a little. Why do you have to be a member? I just think that there should be less rules and regulations. I hate rules and regulations. We should invite more inclusion not repel it (in these groups and in the real world). Just a thought.
My point exactly. Thank you.
I think there's a setting. I think the singles singles group will allow comments from anyone. You could ask the mod. I think the point is to stop spammers, is those who join the site and post links to their new xyz junk product, to any and every forum they can. But so far it seems like those kinds of spammers are rare. You could ask, in groups that don't have the rule about being a member, how it works for them.
Id like to propose that anyone who posts (groups or forums) more than a post an hour, needs to rank their posts so number one gets released first, number two and hour later, the next an hour after that... And no one can post more than say, 10 things per day. It's incredibly annoying to deal with the groups posts cluttering up the main feed... Totally belies the point of groups... But if we have to know what the cat memes group is up to, at least keep it to a dull roar.
Yes
How so?
