Does everyone understand the trade-off for your access to this FREE web site? Every member here is Beta Testing the site for the development team. While it is good to bring problems to the attention of @Admin, @SiteSupport and the other developers, repeatedly whining about things not working isn’t productive in resolving problems, and in fact takes time away from problem solving activities. Think about that. Please take a moment to look and see if a problem has already been reported before you post. And don’t complain every day that things are not fixed.
Having spent years developing complex circuitry, initially relay and later solid state, I happily accept that there is always room for improvement. Sometimes a problem was simply a "relay chase" when one of two relays that had always changed over first, or simultaneously, became fractionally sluggish, and operated a tenth of a second later, causing an unforeseen problem that was a headache to trace.
@MissKathleen As I used to remark, "Without problems anyone could do this job. Thanks to being able to solve the problems, I have a highly paid job."
@MissKathleen Sometimes, I simply re-designed the whole damned thing that was giving the problems - and for my sins I got another raise in earnings.
(As an aside: I kept personal copies of my most ingenious designs, and accompanied them with copious notes to explain how they worked to even the dumbest of technicians. A few months ago I was looking through these designs of 30 plus years ago and hit a problem. I couldn't figure out how some of them worked - yet it was my 40 year old mind that had created these reliable circuits which had gone into service around the world! )
Paranoia will destroy ya........"beta testing"??????????? Ooookkaaaayyyyy....
But its so much fun to read the endless whinning of the entitled.
@MissKathleen funny thing is all those posts shouldn't even make it to the front page, yet there they are.
@MissKathleen actually in the faq it says its mostly a manual proccess. Pretty sure admin wrote it, so I'm going with that, thanks. Wouldn't suprise me, however, if the recent redesign/site down included some additional automation. I hope it did, sounds like a tedious process.
Feel good on your soapbox there?
