My niece and her fiancee are going to the Virgin Islands with their son to get married. The family is thrilled. Our group present will be to give them cash to have the time of their lives...happy to do so just not to have to sit in a church...ha ha ha.

I believe in marriage but big weddings are nonsense. We paid $75 dollars to have a JP come to our apartment in 1997.
Our main focus was buying a home, which we started building the next month.

Our wedding cost $105.00. Best $105.00 I ever spent.

I'd rather have the wedding... It represents the beginning of a new chapter in my life... Recorded with pictures and of memories... And it's a good way to announce your commitment to each other in the presence of all the people you love... And it's not all about the monetary costs at all considering the fact that many of the guests will give you envelopes stuffed with cash or checks to give you a good start in the marriage... Besides, the parents pay for the wedding anyway... It's not like you're actually coming out of pocket lastly, the wedding is basically for the bride not the groom... It's her special day... She's the princess...

And if you went without your special lady you could do it even more.
