Hey BoHo, don’t you know we’re all sinners (thank god) and after drowning they all got to go to fantasy island.

But the moralistic story is that god saved the goodies and drowned the baddies - so you have to be good because god is always watching and knows all the bad stuff you do.
When you convince people of that you have control over social norms like the ten commandments against, killing, fucking your neighbours wife, theft, etc ... so there is some fundamental benefit in the general ideas of religion.
Personally - I manage my adherence to morality without the oversight of a god ...... and my neighbours wife was in an unhappy marriage and needed cheering up ... quite often ... didn't turn out well

That's always been how I've seen it. I could be wrong about everything - but if I am, and there's a God... The ones I've read about are dicks, I wouldn't worship any of them even with proof.

Just another thing is biblical history that is used to brainwash and scare people that believe in all that religion nonsense

It was just a moment of pique.

Ignorance.

And explain to us exactly why all the animals needed to die. And the plant life which would have fed them. Are we to believe THEY were all sinners, too? Despicable dandelions? Sinful sloths? Blasphemous baboons? Deviant daisies? Pornographic penguins? Rotten rutabegas? (The mind reels.)

and the murder continues...
