Kinda highlights one of the down sides of technology. We used to be happy with celebrating what we could see and touch... the birth of a baby. Now we're (some of us) obsessed with what we can infer based on chemistry and pictures... and we try to call it "life" as if it's equivalent.
Life does begin with conception, the question is at what point is it too late to abort, I always thought it was ok in the 1st trimester. That gives a woman 3 months to decide, isn't that enough?
Ummm, who, exactly, is "GIVING" the woman this option? Mind Your Own Business!!!!!!!!!!!
The routine ultrasound to look for fetal abnormalities, is done around 18-20 weeks (about 4-5 months), and for some women, that's when they get to "make the choice" If they "want" to be pregnant.
The logic of the conversation is terribly revealing!
