sharks, snakes, red backs, mice and americans with loaded guns scare the hell outta me.
@MsDemeanour Sharks, snakes, red-backs and gun-toting Yanks worry me too, BUT, mice I can handle, all it takes is a trap baited with a Chicken pellet and glued in place with PVA glue, instant dead rodent with a one way ticket down the sewer to meet up with any who have gone before it.
@Triphid I might have to hire you. I'm ashamed to admit I am completely irrational when it comes to mice.
@MsDemeanour I thoroughly detest rodents such as mice, etc, and enjoy devising new ways to eradicate them from around my home, etc.
One of my all-time favourites, but primarily for outside the house usage is mixing equal parts of icing sugar, plaster of Paris and tiling grout in a small open ended jar and leaving in places where only the mice and other rodent pests can reach it.
I'll leave it to your imagination what effects that mixture has on the digestive tract of the mice.
I was 23, in Vietnam, flying a Huey way too many hours daily. This got me through some interesting situations. And then in the corporate world, same thing. Great mind-stillng mantra.

"Fear is the greatest motivator" [origin-of-religion.com] There are other quotes related to conquering fear. Fear is necessary but not frightening if perceived with a balanced approach.

Frank Herbert. It's important, but difficult to face your fears. I trapped two mice recently all by myself. I had to get help the last time. It's a silly fear, but really quite intense.
