Last year, at age 61, I got my first (and only) tattoo. Today, almost exactly a year later, I went down a waterslide for the first time in my life. Yes, I know my bucket list is a little weirder than most, but I'm still crossing things off it!
Good on ya, Gurl! My life isn't a 'bucket' of wild thrills either, but I do have some things on my list...like visiting incredible American Museum of Natural History in NYC. Done the museums in Chicago and Washington 3 times, tho it has been a while. Can't believe I walked past famous Savo maneating lions in Field museum 3 times without reading the display plaque... First learned of them in movie, The Ghost and the Darkness. Built a ten foot waterslide in backyard for step-granddaughters... fun.
What is next on your list? (after the water slide).
A trip to Great Britain, but that would involve a sizeable lottery win or some other miracle-level occurrence.
@Deb57 Yep, I get it. Me too.
I just found out the local casino (Mohegan Sun) has a mechanical bull! Looking for something to do for my 71st next month.....
Actually, be careful.. you can really get hurt falling off. I saw this with an older co worker years ago and he was hurting for quite awhile. Dont want to put a damper on your fun, but. ???
@Buddha no pain no gain? Falling "soft", as if you were drunk, is IMO key........maybe I will eat my traditional birthday lobster a day earlier...doubt they will bring me one if I am in traction.
Hope you had fun, and didn't lose your swimsuit top from the force of the water.
