Is there love after 60?
Age does not change our human needs. The knowledge we obtain with age may change the way we satisfy those needs, or our ability to act on them. I cherish the loves I had, even though they didn’t survive life and would be thrilled to find the feeling again at 67 or any time in the future. I do envy those who meet the love of their life, no matter whether it be the first time or after many tries. I have friends, it was his third marriage and her second, and they are truly devoted to each other. He is my age. So in answer to your question: yes!
There must be... a lot of my wedding couples are in their sixties, either renewing their vows, or getting married after being widowed or divorced. Hearing these love stories, gives me hope that even though I'm perfectly happy on my own, perhaps a special love will come into my life.
I agree sex and love are not the same thing. Pretty easy to have sex without love, but holding out for quality love sex is the goal.
I think just relaxing by getting out doing the things you love to do, is the best way to meet someone who enjoys the same things you do. Has it worked for me? No, not yet, but it's the method I'll employ, and if it doesn't work, at least I'm doing stuff I love to do!
I am 6th term president for a singles club for over-55's. Many are very active 80+ people, many are not looking actively, but open....
85 and i'm still kicking hard
I’m 58, soon to be 59. I still love my recent ex; I’ve loved him since I met him at age 18 so I guess I always will, we just can’t live in the same area code. I loved my first husband, cared for the second. Not sure I want to fall in love again. It hurts too much.
But who knows?
Right now, respect, caring, and sex is working for me.
Here ya go ! You just need to remain open to the idea ...
Less to do with your age - far more to do with your attitude !
Of course there is, but it's different. We all have love wounds, we've been in the game for long and are more cautious, plus we have our own ways and manias. In spite of all it is there for the taking...
Yup, I’ve felt it.. But, there’s also strong, vivid memories of where love often gets you… Don’t know if we ever had time to waste, but there seems far less of it anymore
Yup would surprise you work in a nursing home and be shocked they may have a lot more sex than you
I’ve worked in one...not surprised at all. I had a 96 year old man who damn near sexually assaulted me, but for another nurse who intervened! Strong as an ox, the 96 year old. Yanked me right off my feet.
I also was an L&D nurse. You’d be surprised how much sex goes on during early labor and after delivery, too.
Well, I'm 64 and I still love my ex-wife. New love? I don't know...
