I tire and worry about the number of criminals that have flocked to religion to buy their sins away. And their sect allows them to remain in open society. The victim is still raped, tortured, slandered, lives ruined, children taken/abused/adopted out by the rich for the rich, racism, sexism, all of it. The church rises in power with money supplied by criminals, often wealthy by earnings from their crimes. Paid hits, theft, you name it. And Christianity worships Martyrs, parents raise their kids to become martyrs (shooters) as do some extremist sects of Islam strapping on vests & blowing up a marketplace. There is no difference beteen those sad mislead children in explosive vests & our own country’s Brainwashed christian extremist shooters going into schools. I think one can believe or not, & respect other’s beliefs & choices.
But the religion/Christianity as a business is destroying our world, children & cultures. “Let go, let god” or “kumbaya” is lovely, but a new term, “Toxic passivity” (quoting Richard Grannon) keeps believers from taking the reigns when it might help prevent harm. Enough for now. I can’t stomach the amount of criminal abuse that’s being paid off (covered up) by churches & their followers. I once had faith that people are essentially good. That a higher power guided humans and all living things. Now I go on a case by case basis. I might be atheist might be agnostic, it doesn’t matter. Raised Episcopal, Lutheran, that was as a child. I personally respect good intent without need to profit, period. Respect for all religions, for people who do not enable criminal trespass, for those who respect the rights of others. That is my creed. I don’t fucking care about labels, or hopes & prayers. And ain’t no martyr. If, when the chance arises, or you have the power (you probably do!), create the opportunity to make a change, Do something. Stand up and help heal the earth, each other as one is able. Learn, grow, heal. Respect, & boundaries. Rambling rant over. Peace, Out.
