What was something you did yesterday that was interesting?
For me it was meeting A young man who purchased the townhouse next door to me. Single, 25 years old, a denturist, who is just starting out. He is fixing up his T.H., and it is starting to look great. Super impressed with him and what has accomplished already.
I went to a small art fair and met one of the artists. Chatted with him for about 25’. Learned his history, how he thinks about his art, and his fears of marketing it.
Good conversation.
I've been caring for a butterfly I found on the wet sand at the beach. His wings are shot so he won't fly again, but I've been keeping him safe and feeding him. He's pretty cool and seems to like hanging out on my hand. I've had him for 5 days. Not sure how much longer he'll last (they only live about 2 weeks) but I'll keep him comfortable until the end.
Went to a monthly meeting of computer nerds. We meet at a retirement home, and the residents bring us questions. It gives us a chance to practice speaking non-techie.
Had my yearly mammogram. Are all the women up to date here?
always!! every year.
Ladies ! No no no . No more every year . Every 3 yrs .
@Pralina1 I had breast cancer, so I have to do it EVERY year!
@Lilac-Jade yes then .
Plotted this weekend's canning orgy. Loaded up today at the farmers market. The juice will flow like blood! As an aside, I used to live in Leamington, ON, Canada's tomato capital. When the harvest was on, the streets actually did run red.
Went to the Seattle aquarium and wandered downtown a bit.
Yesterday i binge-watched the Ancient History of Britain series hosted by freelance archaeologist Neil Oliver. The series clarified and connected so many facts I had learned regarding prehistorical Britain and Europe and I learned so much. Having it presented by a good looking archaeologist with the sexiest Scottish accent was definitely a bonus.
I met my daughter for some errands, and then we tried out a new teahouse and had some (really delicious) egg tarts and mooncakes. I think we'll try making egg tarts on our next baking day. She only moved out about nine months ago, so it's still novel to meet with the "independent" her.
I made up for been rude few weeks ago :
I went to Harris Teeters to get some food in the morning after work , the hot bar section .( I am lazy . Storm coming is irrelevant )
Few weeks ago same adventure , was there b4 11 am and they open the bar at 11. The old man who was making things ready at display was running around . I was tired , impatient , and on his line already w bitchy face I am sure at 1058. By the x he put the serving spoons out , I crabed one from his hands almost and went for the food . He said " good morning , we do start at 11 u know ". I said , " ok , whatever ".
Yesterday I went there 10 mnt to 11, and stayed across and waited w a smile . One more lady was doing the same I noticed . When he laid everything out , he looked at me and smiled , he remembered me !( double embarrassment !).
He nodded " come on ", I said good morning sir , thank u !
I was still on scrubs , he said " well , good night to u "
I feel better . I know he knows I regret been an ass b4.
Learned to use a gas-powered pressure washer...those things are Powerful!
@Donotbelieve Hahahaa...my neighbors know me & stand back, or "have to answer that".......
@MsHoliday the truth is, if I can do it myself i8 enjoy both the process AND the $$$ I save...plus, nobody cares about doing things right anymore....
