if it weren't for golf & booze i don't know what i would have done since i retired 26 yrs ago.
as for many things in life: retirement (for many) isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I retired last year, and I must admit that I DIDN'T plan for it. I'm just lucky that other people planned for me.

Spend a lot of time with your grandson......they grow and change sooooooo fast - blink twice and he'll be a surly teen --- so enjoy this time with him. Its the absolute best!!! Won't be long - he'll be a great travel companion!

Congrats!! My advice is to travel as much as possible! There are so many places to see and so many things to do. There are over 400 wineries in NC btw. I’m working my way through the list and if you like wine it’s a fun way to spend your time.

It's wonderful ! I have you have , at least , a generic plan for yourself . Sleeping in is fun , but , fi yu've spent a lifetime , going to work , you'll eventually miss having something to do , places to be, and people to deal with . May I sugggest , if nothing is on your agenda , a tri;p to the library , at your leisure , perhaps find a local farm vegetable stand , or an arboretum . What are all those local things that you've been passing by , thinking , "Some day , I'm going to stop there ?" Plna ant take some local drives - time to enjoy the fall foilage . Just whatever interests you . Daytime TV isn't all that great .

Good for you! I’ve been fully retired since I was 51! Best choice I ever made. I don’t miss work one bit! I worked full time since I was 17!
