Man , either my older dog is loosing his mind , either I am the most fearful human I know , perhaps both ? Here I am sitting in my bed , browsing posts here , chewing 2 day old pizza , laughing at my own jokes pretty much , and all of the sudden the oldest one , Mr Marcello , tries to give me an MI ? He jumps out of the covers , face the wall behind my bed , and starts barking and crying like someone is cutting his head off ! Wtf ! There is nothing , and not a sound outside either ! And I know is nothing there bcz Diego boy has even better ears and he did not even move . Mr asshole did this for about 3-4 long minutes , barking and crying and wonβt even look at me . The idiot that I am ,
now I am looking at the wall , and thinking of earthquakes , trees falling on my roof , and anything else ridiculous as such . Bcz u know , of course my lovely dog will warn ME , like we see in the movies , right ? Yeah , that stupid
The fun part is that mr Marcello is back under the covers snoring , Diego boy gives no rats ass as usual , and here I am at near 3 am debating what appointment I need to make . Vet or psychiatrist . Wtf !
I had a cat who used to sit and stare at one spot on the wall, for hours. Turns out we had a mouse, I know because his brother brought the freshly killed creature as a gift one night and laid it next to me in bed (ugh). Of course I couldn't freak out, had to tell him what a wonderful hunter he was!! Especially considering at the time he was nearly 15 years old and sick with diabetes and thyroid disease, plus cancer. He was SO PROUD. RIP sweet Roo...he was my "soul mate".
PS..Just in case, here is a great recipe for natural rodent repellent: [hunker.com]
Maybe he had a nightmare?
@Seeker3CO Certainly what the description sounds like to me.
What a cutie. I've had two dogs with different reactions. I think one is hearing a mouse in the walls. That's the conclusion I came to with mine anyway.
I had no idea mice live in walls , u are the second person saying . Poor mini mouse !!!!
@Pralina1 One morning last winter I heard a funny little scratch noise - opened up the pantry doors and saw the cutest little mouse had literally chewed a hole thru the sheetrock on the inside of the pantry and was "window shopping"....a little nibble here....a little nibble there. Kinda like how we go thru Costco, you know? Took us two weeks to finally get rid of alllllll of them (if you see one - you got a lot more that you don't see) and all day to completely clean out the pantry, throw away everything they chewed on and patch, seal, put out rat poison, traps, etc etc etc. And I hate that....cause I don't want to kill any of them. I just don't want them in my house!
Look at those eyes! What a beautiful boy
I can assure u both , he is the biggest manipulator ever , and these eyes work EVERY time . I love this prick thou
Something spooked him. They can hear and sense things we can't....who knows - he might have heard mice skittling around behind that wall. More importantly: why are you chewing on 2 day old pizza? Do I have to come and cook for you? hahahahaha
No maβam ! Two day old pizza is the norm here , beats crackers !!!
Love the pup like you love babies!
Hahahahahahahahahahah !!!
