I think it is almost instant. I have had relationships that did not work out after dating for six months without sex. I have had healthy relationships where it happened in hours. I'd say it is right when you know it is right. Sometimes wait and sometimes jump into it!
I always start with the required STD talk. And that should start way-early! Heck, just kissing can spread oral herpes. And no, NOT everyone already has it, but it's said that 80% who do, don't know it. I always offer to test us both before we start swapping bodily fluids (otherwise we don't). Takes 15-minutes at the lab (near any hospital) and 2-3 days for the emailed results for the 10-panel test.
OK, ok, ok...
I know full well that it's an auto-correct/typo...
...but I just can't stop giggling at "oral heroes".
My Post = Completely Unhelpful. ::: snicker :::
@LatentumCattus Oh, THANK YOU! VERY helpful! Corrected. We ALL want "oral heroes", but not "oral herpes" so much. I've seen that typo a gazillion times and now I made it. I'm herpes-negative, but follow some online herpes groups for better understanding because in testing I find my new friends tend to be carriers, despite their earlier denials. It's a problem.
What is tested for in the 10 panel test and how much does it cost?
@itsmedammit It's not cheap... about $200. But it's easy, fast (pay online, walk-in, no appt, 5-min process, results by email in 2-3 days). Labs near most hospitals and elsewhere. The list is found here: stdcheck.com. Other labs do it too and one has at-home kits you just mail back. Just search for: STD testing
