Could Mike Bloomberg win the Democratic nomination? What do Agnostic.com members think?
Yes, he could. He's already campaigning in states the other dems haven't even started to and is driving up the media costs in tv, radio, and social media by flooding the market with his ads. Not only is he driving the cost up, he's also buying the best time/placement spots in the targeted markets. He both can and will spend the money to dominate the media landscape.
Oh yeah, he owns a media company, too.
He's skipping the small vote early states and focusing on the state's that can actually bring him the numbers to win the primary. The dems see this and are already looking to modify the debate rules to include him, so they think he could win it also.
EDIT: [thedailybeast.com]
The reality of only six corporations owning over 90% of the media in this country!!!
I think he's got a excellent chance. Many people think having money is bad or whatever . to me that kind of thinking is B.S. The other candidates just aren't doing it for me. When people think about Democratic Socialist they don't see the Northern Europe socialist they think about the USSR as in Union of soviet socialist republic, this will have the effect of people not voting for Trump but voting against Bernie. The same goes for Mayor Pete. You would have to be blind not to see that the religious fanatics , red necks, most of the Trump base will do everything they can to defeat a gay candidate. Myself I don't care about this kind of stuff. We need to defeat Trump. That's the bottom line We need to add to our totals not subtract. Yes Bloomberg is the least objectionable candidate and plus he brings a lot to the table. People in this group should be able to see reality. At this time the Dem. candidates are losers, lets come to our senses.
He has a good chance of beating the dumpster. He's a self made billionaire unlike the con artist we have in office currently. He's not pulling in any donations from private groups or lining any pockets to back him up. He's a smart man with some great ideas that I do hope will come to fruition as time goes on. We need someone with the financial backing that has a shot of beating him, the others right now, do not.
You are right on. Please read my comment. I say the same thing, of course, I'm a little more critical of a couple of other candidates. I hope we are in the majority, it's the only way we will win.
@MichaelCooley2 I would love to see maybe some of these candidates run VP with Mike B.. Pete would be a good one or even Kamella H. I honestly don't think any of these candidates have the financial backing to make it to the finish line.. its sad to say that but that's the reality of what we are up against right now.
I hope not!!
He is just another wealthy individual wanting to have power he has not been able to buy or conquer!!!
He is actually part of the old guard Democratic Party leadership!!!
We need a actual revolution to counter trump and the obstructionist republican fascist!!!
If we do not change we will not be able to change the tide of the right wing conservative fascists slow moving Coup d’Tat which has been orchestrated against us for the last 75 years in a slow take over without any fight right in front of our eyes!!!
They use the illegality of laws and turn them into legal laws, which benefit their direct agenda against us!!!
If you do not see and comprehend that they will win at any cost to gain complete control,!
They have gutted the FBI, the EPA, HUD, CIA, DOD, DOE, the courts, and Department of the Interior to size control for the wealthy and their corporations!!!
Voter suppression and gerrymandering are their biggest tools which they have close to exclusive control over!!!
Voting might not be enough to stop the complete obstructionist republican fascist take over!!!
Sadly, I tend to agree with you. If we don’t flip control this election and do the same in at least a few state governments I think our democracy as we know it is doomed, we will be no better than Brazil, and the South will have won the second Civil War without firing a shot.
Another businessman using Huge bucks to get elected? Gee, NO!
Wrong again!
I don’t like the idea of buying your way into the President’s office. We are living with that now. I would rather have Bloomberg supporting the party from the outside and helping Senators get elected.
