Has a fellow member on this site been an encouragement to you lately?
I've had a few and I cannot express how grateful I am for them.
I try to express my appreciation in those moments directly to said members but in case I failed...
I sincerely hope you know that you're valued and appreciated. I hope the kindness and encouragement continues. It has helped me a lot lately.
Thank you
Glad you found strength from like minds. You are valued!!!
I always keep an eye out for all the members on this site. Sometimes it is the kind and personal words/stories that reminds me, that I am not alone. And it is alright to be confused or lonely about life, at times. Thanks to everyone here.
@Donotbelieve I have gotten the same from you, my friend.
I gain insight from many here !! So I support you in that statement. Good Folks in this group.
@Donotbelieve We all do for sure !
@MissKathleen Right on !! lol
Several members, I think 6 or 7, both male and female, have taken the time to respond compassionately to my posts, comments, and responses. Thank you sincerely.
You've always been kind to me. I appreciate that.
I've had a few people here rub me the wrong way but I acknowledge it's hard to disagree without doing that.
I'd like to take this opportunity to voice my appreciation to MissKathleen.
Thanks beautiful woman!
@Donotbelieve as are You..,and thank you!
I’m glad that you’ve found encouragement and strength from others here on Agnostics, I haven’t seen many posts by you lately, hope everything is all right with you and Violet. I too, took great comfort and strength from a number of very caring people here, including yourself, when I had my own sorrow last year.
@Donotbelieve Now you’ve got me blushing...aw shucks!
Lovely positive post. Nice way to end my day Any new baby feet pics?
@Donotbelieve ah! I bet she is! Such a lovely age!
@Donotbelieve so busy and happy!
Whenever I need support or want to rant about weirdos online, this forum is good for that. I love the words of wisdom from the women in this group who have been in my shoes when they were my age. The most gentle, beautiful "soul" I have encountered, and her words have reverberated with me, even when intended for someone else, is @FreedomPath. There are many others in the support group I am part of that are helpful and knowledgeable too like @ToolGuy. I hope I have been as helpful to people in that group as they have been to me along my journey.
Thank you for your kind words. I think that we have become our own little circle of friends who do understand the challenge we have faced and at the same time we can offer what we have learned that hopefully will help relieve someone’s current hurt and confusion who is in our ‘circle.’ I do value every one and their voice in the ‘dark!’
Based on my observation, you are clearly one of the more enlightened members that makes navigating this site a positive experience.
Thank you for making this a better place.
Members an encouragement (to me) on this site? Not really. . .
Most (not all) of the members I occasionally go back and forth with have opposing positions as they assert such nonsense/falsehoods including: the atheist has the burden of proof to demonstrate a god does not exist, science(the scientific method (testable) has no greater truth value then faith (belief without evidence)) etc.
As I live hundreds of miles from nearly everybody, for the most part I sit quietly in the balcony rather then interact with the great minds I consider worthy of time.
Hope all goes well for you.
Always liked your posts and comments, any support that can be given would be a small price to pay.
@Donotbelieve Don't push your luck. LOL
@Donotbelieve Well ok then. Don't have expectations that your place on the bell curve will be towards the higher end.
@Donotbelieve Strength.
Thats great! I have met people on line in the community that I have known for years now! They are also on other platforms and support me in other ways! Just stick around and don't be afraid to ask questions.
Well, you kinda deserve some nice things.
Yes, there have been many kindnesses offered here, from encouraging words to simple likes. All are appreciated.
Lately, I have been watching YouTube videos with former Christian broadcaster turned atheist Seth Andrews. His childhood involved much indoctrination by the parents and it was rather difficult for him to extricate himself.
I find it quite touching the way he expresses his gratitude for those champions and voices of the freethought/atheist community. It basically helped him feel comfortable with unbelief/nonbelief as a choice and that there's a rational defense for skepticism.
As one who was raised a nominal Catholic but with no real pressure, I am often reminded how stress inducing it can be for those coming from a much more homogeneous culture/community.
Have always enjoyed sharing/exchanging views with you, DNB. Glad you find a similar value from this community as well.
I love being able to come here for down to earth feedback.
Your comments have been kind, empathetic, and I have appreciated your input every time. I don’t know if I’ve expressed that to you, but I am always thankful for your perspective.
