It's rainy here.
I wonder what rain does to virus in the environment?
In addition to rainy weather.... other environmental factors that can affect vectors of viral infections include more intense climatological weather events. A good Medical News Today article addresses how, "In the coming decades, ecological degradation, rising temperatures, and extreme weather events could intensify the threats to human health posed by viruses."
Warning.... If you subscribe to and accept evidence supporting climate change and, in particular, the effect of global warming on the increased intesity and frequency of extreme weather events, this article has absolutely no good news, or silver lining. Sry.... :/
For completeness, the following link addresses how, " 'Climate change' and 'global warming' are often used interchangeably but have distinct meanings."
My guess would be the rain helps knock the aerosolized particles down to the ground faster as well as the droplets. So instead of six feet, you would only have to stand five feet apart when talking!
Gee, I dunno....ever catch a cold in the springtime?
