Marijuana users: Marijuana use has increased because of legalization and Covid-19 restrictions. Many may not be aware that overuse (using every day) can lead to Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. The symptoms include recurring abdominal pain, vomiting, and nausea, and may lead to kidney failure. At least 2 people have died from CHS.
Treatment involves stopping the use of cannabis, and may take days or weeks to see a benefit.
Soon after a connoisseur hooked me up, five varieties with supposed varying effects, my state decriminalized it (headed to legalization), and I’ve time to spare.. ..along comes an upper respiratory virus that would probably enjoy a resin-coated slide even deeper into my lungs.
I do worry about those I know who often appear incapable of functioning ‘normally’ without it.. And as I’ve mentioned to them lately, I’ve cleaned enough bongs to conclude I don’t want that stuff coating me at this time ..if ever
No worries, I can't Afford it anymore..
@DangerDave grow it, it is actually a weed & grows like one too...ex had a small "farm" in the upstairs closet for awhile
@AnneWimsey It grows nicely in window boxes, even in Brooklyn, 1968.
This makes sense. Too much of anything is, well, too much.
For about 40 years I smoked pot at least twice daily. I never experienced any side effect (other than being stoned), never. The only reason I stopped is it became too hard to get.
I'm now in my late 70s and I am in very good health.
@DangerDave Perhaps, but other than the fact that N.C. will probably never legalize pot in my lifetime, I like it here, and I can easily survive without it.
