SciAmer is fairly late to this game; been following it for about a year now on some other sites
Yea, I have been following it for years, at least 9. I learned about the tests 9 years ago after many years fighting my own demons and getting them and my depression under control, I was too late, helped too early, to get into the trials.
The use of psychedelics is slowly becoming more used. Not common by any means. They've been tested for a number of years. They work, if properly trained people administer them.
The way the American health system works is - lots of prejudices against new stuff and, of course, up front costs.
Upfront costs are high with the initial usage - BUT, if it takes, instead of a month or more of hospitalization the patient doing psychedelics is usually out in less than 2 weeks. Thus, the use of psychedelics can be much cheaper in so many ways - hospital costs, loss of work, etc.
i think many at least far eastern countries have been prescribing lsd for years?
