I think that Democracy is non-existent throughout the World. Until the people who make things run actually run things, there can be no democracy.

The United States is not a "democracy".

Democracy is a big experiment. It is what we would like to have for everyone but greed and ignorance steps in. Way before Trump I was a card carrying Republican. Later a Libertarian. Never again for either of them. I'm now a Progressive. I want fairness in law and government for everyone.

Democratic government has been and is being seriously threatened by Republican fascism. I resigned my long-held status as an Independent 5 years ago, and signed up with the Democrats just to fight the Trumpists.
