SIGH. OK. I'M DOING THE POST OF SHAME.
The cat. The pregnant cat.
Got up at 4 am. Cat voluntarily got in the new cute carrier. Not a peep outta the cat. I'm not doing that well. IV Ativan would've been good.
Left the cat. Promising I'll be back.
. 25 miles from pet clinic. ring
And here's how that went....
"Are you ElCee's Mom? β
βYes."
"ElCee has ear mites, should we take care of that? β
βYes, thank you."
"And................
............
ElCee isn't pregnant.
ElCee is a male......a neutered male."
..
..
..
"Does he have a tumor? Why's he so suddenly thick in the belly? And acting weird and needy like a chic????????"
βBecause you're feeding him, Ma'am."
I am beyond embarrassed. I go right back, he's chillin in his carrier, and I swear, he's smirking.
Stared at me the whole ride home. I think he's a sociopath.
He then refused to look at me. LMAO.
I SOOOO love this cat. He's seriously psychologically more intelligent or damaged than me.
Best post ever!
I love this so much I can't even stand it.
We need more pictures. And will there be a name change forthwith? Or maybe a name change suggestion contest?
@SeaGreenEyez So, so cute. Looks super comfortable with you.
It's perfectly all right as long as you're not the one that had him neutered.
I was so dumb that early in my first marriage, I went with my husband to pick out a puppy and when we got home he asked me why I picked a female. I actually thought I was picking a male. Cats are a lot harder than dogs, especially when it's a neutered male.
My puppy's neutered but likes to dry hump his bed. I guess it's wishful thinking.
@SeaGreenEyez. I promise you he won't mind what pronoun you use.
@SeaGreenEyez All cats are female to me.
@RhondaShotwell I have two friends that say that very same thing.
Are you shittin' me!?!?! Needed a great laugh and you supplied it
I had to check out your other posts to get the back story because this is so funny! I'm surprised the vet didn't tell you when they took care of his injuries. I hope ElCee doesn't hold this against you for too long!
@SeaGreenEyez I'm sorry they did that to you. That was really wrong. I'm glad it all turned out to be a moot point anyway.
Not pregnant should be good news. That kind of news should overshadow any embarrassment.
I've had to sex kittens and baby rabbits, those can be difficult, but an adult cat, they don't really want to be checked at all.
