I have run into a few scammers purporting to be female. I ran into one here and flagged it. The telltale signs I’ve found are:

1. They write in broken English “ Am interested in relationship” or “Am seeking true love” or Am at home now”. They rarely use “I”
2. They indicate they live and work somewhere different than listed on profile
3. They list their age differently in messages and profile.
4. They request off site contact like phone, text or email soon after contact
5. They will eventuallyhave a medical/financial emergency where you need to send them $$ asap.
   I typically string them along and then revealing after awhile that I know they are scammers and I was happy to waste their time so they couldn’t spend the time scamming someone else.

I can't understand why you don't just make a post saying you think he's a scammer, then block him. I have no time for people who decide what I can and can't do.

I'm impressed by your assertiveness. It would appear that you are confident in demanding your space.

What an avalanche of embittered, vengeful and triumphalist comments to wake up to! If someone is "bad", you cut them off, shrug your shoulders and move on, instead of gargling here evermore with your great triumph! You bring to mind the little girl pinched by her smaller brother who will not rest until she has pinched him back, and who grows ever more hysterical, as they both run around their parents, with her need for vindication, not realising that even if she achieves it she has already lost through the intensity of her reaction... Time you left this episode behind you!
Oh, and here is the true horror of the thing, I am "not from the USA, regardless of which state"!!
