The national TV news reporters kept pushing the miraculous miracles of the tornado survivors in god’s plan. What about the bastard’s plan to destroy a town and kill many of the residents? I nearly blew a gasket when I watched the interviews.
Reminds me of the wisecrack by Hannibal Lecter in the movie The Silence Of The Lambs, where he mentions to Clairice Starling that God so loved his followers at a Texas church, that he sent a tornado there that wiped out the church and killed them all...
I live in the south coming from NH and the religious are super devoted to gods will (whatever that is) and people who survive a disaster are blessed and hand picked by god to serve him in some fashion and that's what they say "god let me survive to 'do something' and they never do whatever that something is.
Here's an example of what religious people use when they survive and no one else does.

Well that was a load of horse shit. As I always say, religion poisons everything.
My personal favorite is still the clip from several years ago, when Wolf Blitzer asked a tornado victim if she thanked god for her survival.
She told him that she didn't believe in god.
I wish more people would understand that no god is responsible for the weather.
I do remember that interview
Napoleon said it very well:
Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich. - Napoleon Bonaparte, quoted from Robert Byrne, 1,911 Best Things Anybody Ever Said (1988)
Religion keeps the poor in line, often by conning them into accepting injustice against them in this world, by believing they will eventually get their share and have justice in the afterlife. All pie in the sky, etc...
The concept of a god who cherry picks people to zap whenever he/it feels like it escapes the faithful, as does the concept of guns=dead children. It makes me want to be a total hermit in order to avoid people like that. They're everywhere. Watch your blood pressure!
