I was just thinking about some good movies that might make Christians cringe. Dramas like Elmer Gantry and The Apostle (a Robert Duvall gem!), comedies including Saved and The Life of Brian... then there''s Dogma, which almost defies categorization as a comedy but is funnier than hell. Anyway, those are some of my favorites. Yours?

Inherit the Wind was on......Gene Kelly as HL Menken I always find odd, he's good but it way out of his norm.
Claude Akins as the crazed preacher I'm sure ruffeled some feathers

The Life of Brian is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen! Blessed are the cheese makers!

The movie Stigmata comes to mind. Apparently the Catholic Church was MOST upset with it.

"Marjoe" is a fascinating doc. about an ''evangelist''....Marjoe Gortner was raised to be a child preacher and, after becoming disgusted with himself, participated in this film. I believe it's on YouTube.

@gryzlybear Glad I'm not the ONLY one who remembers this. I admired his honesty SO MUCH!

Every time I mention the movie Sausage Party nobody believes me but watch it and see for yourself. It's hilariously NSFW but also shows how religion is a scam.
also it will give you a whole perspective of douche bag.
May the 4th be with you all.

Yes, "Dogma" and "Constantine."

Elmer Gantry was a great movie. Lancaster was brilliant in the title role.

The Life of Brian is practically a must-see for agnostics/atheists!! All others should be chained in front of it!

Thanks, gryzlybear. I have watched all of those, except Dogma. Didn't think of them as a way to annoy believers. I'll go look for Dogma on Netflix now.

I was in "Elmer Gantry" in the street scene of the band marching into Zenith; I was in the first row of trumpets - right end.

There was a good one titled "Dogma"...
