Great Source! Great thinking!
Wow, I'm just so impressed........
And becuz it is such a great example of your "thinking"......THIS IS SARCASM!

It's impressive when people can read. Pity they often don't comprehend. Here is the actual bill introduced. Is the Congress website a good enough source for you?
[congress.gov]

@puff Yeah a bill to correct the transgressions against people who served in the US military like that is a bad thing?....

@Lizard_of_Ahaz The right to bare arms, so the states can join militias in times of war to make an army, because the US is not to maintain a standing army.
According to the US Constitution architects, there should be no US military.
[teachinghistory.org]

@puff That changed with WW1 because of the need to respond quickly in event of war.... The lesson there was that it took too long to build an army from scratch to fight a modern war.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Yes it's understandable why a standing army was created and maintained, communism and everything else eg AirForce's etc. But the need to maintain state militias (to join in times of war) and thus the right to bare arms is no more if there was a constitutional change to include a standing national military.
So instead of one (standing army) or the other (maintain state militias/ right to bare arms) the US has both, which was not the aim of the Constitution writers.

@puff Actually the right to bare arms is only for militias.... For everyone else it is optional and by militias that according to the 4th militia act is both state militias and the national guard and military reservists...

@Lizard_of_Ahaz I went to Hawaii late 80's with the army. Remember visiting Pearl Harbour, military guide, and being given the rundown on the Coast Guard there. far larger and with more and bigger warships than the Australian Navy.
Just the Coast Guard in Hawaii bigger than the whole Australian Navy.

@puff No wonder Australians have so many problems...

@Lizard_of_Ahaz and PUFF Hey, both of you, that's BEAR arms, not naked arms!!!!

@annewimsey500 Shhhh I love it when he looks stupid and like to keep this Russian troll clueless...

By the way dumbass Australia has the same policy...

and the Washington Examiner is a rag owned by a very wealthy White supremacist conservative...

"Relevant defense service" like translator in Afghanistan.

@puff Not what the website you are citing shows... Thanks for showing how far you will go to look stupid...

@Lizard_of_Ahaz And it shows no pathway to citizenship if you enter Australia illegally, unlike what is being proposed in the US.

@puff Just goes to show that prison gangsters are not the brightest bulbs in the bunch....

@Lizard_of_Ahaz unlike slavers

@puff Says the guy living in a country built on slavery which was still used up until the 1950s...

It has been a tradition that military service gives a person a path to citizenship.... Until Trump that is who deported many of these men and women breaking the promises made to them. Trump was a draft dodger who has always considered people who serve their country as "suckers".

FYI a lot of those honorably discharged veterans who the Fat Bastard deported had distinguished themselves in the service and no small number were citizens already and illegally deported left living on the streets of countries they hadn't lived in since they were small children and never had learned the language...

You must really love looking stupid because you work so hard at it...

"It has been a tradition that military service gives a person a path to citizenship..."

But from the horses mouth
"You cannot join the military to enter the U.S. or to get a visa." [usa.gov]
Tradition my spotty botty.

@puff Thanks for looking even more stupid.... I never said a word about that but seemingly you can't read English...

This has always gone on, nothing new.

I hope this pathetic, ignorant, jackoff enjoys the reading I left him...

What is proposed is new. This is US law

"Citizenship and residency
U.S. citizens and some non-citizens can join the military. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must:
Have a U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
Speak, read, and write English fluently
You cannot join the military to enter the U.S. or to get a visa."
