We have parking lots, closer to where the energy is going to be needed that are currently just adding to the heat pollution.

I can surely get down with a concept like that. Innovation is what we need more of.

Every stadium parking lot covered would not only increase energy supplies, it would reduce the heat pollution from the parking lot.

Yes, every parking lot and every possible roof. Let’s fund that instead of Israel.

First time I was in South Africa (at LEAST twenty years ago,) I was struck by how they were using this system....if only we could convince the idiots here.....

Keeps your car cool in hot weather too.

When I lived in Glendale, California, they put parking structures with solar panels at the schools to generate electricity. And, the city of Glendale has its own steam power plant, so they are not paying a power company for electricity, anyway. It was one of the best-managed cities in the country, and is ranked 124th in the country in size. (I haven’t lived there since early 2015, so cannot testify to its current status, but suspect that is probably still true.)
