Is there any science lovers out there? Nietzsche reader? Newton's fan? Am I an endangered species?
Science history is my favorite, but I read all kinds of nonfiction: [goodreads.com]

I believe in this era us science lovers are becoming an endangered species. Unfortunately I see society getting worse each day, I work part-time in a restaurant it's unbelievable that you have to explain to an "adult" not to put foil in a microwave. Or when you hear a person say "who or what does that mean" when they are asked for their John Hancock. Knowledge is the greatest of all powers and to me it seems these days that most of the younger society, sadly the future of this country, is more concerned about selfies, social media, and their ridiculous "safe spaces" because they can't deal with reality, than learning about science. I'm also on a few other dating apps and it is EXTREMELY HARD for me to find a woman I can have conversation with. I've been on them for about 2 months and have chatted with about 50 different women give or take some have been scammers asking for money but the one's that have been real people I have only managed to find 2 that understand physics and unfortunately one lives in Russia and the other one stopped talking to me due to my political views lol.

Sure, I've read them, but I certainly don't sit around reading them for entertainment. There are far more exciting books to read than that!
Last night started "Till We Have Faces," the last novel written by C.S. Lewis-a rewriting of the Psyche myth from the point of view of the ugly older sister, who learns to sword fight, becomes queen when her father dies, and reigns wisely.
The premise of the book: her complaints about the unfairness of the gods to accuse her of tricking her younger sister into looking at Cupid in his sleep, and her ultimate realization that we are ALL gods, creating our own collective reality. SO true.
I've read it numerous times, but after a while I'll read it again, like I do all my favorite books. I think it's his best one, by far, and I thought so when I was only 21 years old and still religious.

I like science, though I'm an amateur. I've read a fair amount of Nietzsche. Newton was brilliant and very weird.

I've read Nietzsche but I'm more a cheerful absurdist/nihilist.

True. I just don't do the doom & gloom side.
Embrace the beauty of the pointless situation.
