Some dudes in white robes and hoods came to our town square a while back. The leader stood on the courthouse steps and proclaimed loud and clear to be a proud racist. It was scary. Then he got pelted by a rotten mater I happened to have in my pocket.

You always come prepared!

Good man!

@Spinliesel Hard to believe I never even made it past Cub Scouts.

Well since nobody else said it i will.
There good and bad in just about all races.
Not all whites are racist I've meet racist black folks and self hating.
Remember nobody born a racist this is a taught behavior..
Why most racist arent upfront with it they want to stay employed.
Just my two cent.

being a hater or picking a colour is ridiculous. people are people.

Uhm...they hold marches and rallies.

I have had a few people tell me they are racist, and then ask me, very aggressively, if I have a problem with that. I tell them yes, I do. So, yes, there are racists and they are proud of it, and in fact, challenge you if you don't agree with them.

5

What is your point? Although what you said isn't exactly true about people being able to say they are racist.

5

Excuse me? Where have you been? Racists are proudly and publicly proclaiming their hateful ignorance all over the US. I prefer it. It lets me know who to avoid.

Re: Rebel flags?

4

Does that dissappoint you? ?

RACISM always has been around; the fact people couldn't express it openly w/o facing consequences doesn't mean racism is something from the past.
Racism, lately, had resurfaced and is openly expressed. Sad,

Sure there is those that run with old Dixie on there truck here in the south.

I think KKK ers say this all the time. And so do others who carry around signs that say "make America white again". And I think our Buffoon in office has given his followers the go ahead to come up from the underbelly and say these things publically. But then, it is best to know what your enemies are saying so I'm glad to be out of my bubble where I thought this nastiness had died down. It is as bad or worse than ever

3

I don't understand the point of your post...

3

They my not have the courage to come out as an individual and announce it, but since President Dufus took office they have had no problem coming out in large groups.

3

Maybe no-one can say in public "I am a proud racist" - but the KKK don't seem very woried about publicity any more.

2

After Trump was elected there have been quite a few Nazi and white supremacist rallies. So, yes evidently people can and do say just that.

2

The only people that I've noticed saying anything like this are members of the alt-right. I think it translates to "I'm afraid to spew my hate filled, racist, misogynist rhetoric on the street corner because 1 of those wimpy cukes or snowflakes might punch my face in" ala Richard Spencer.

2

the problem is no one wants to be objective about racism. People either want to hate racists or hate the races they feel racism towards

2

Apparently you've not been to a trump rally.

I tend to take "nigger" " get out of my country" "monkey" "god's chosen" and any similar statements as mirrors to "I am a proud racist." I assure you the KKK and W.A.R. are full of people who shout out their proud racist asses in public.

1

everyone is racist as its based on survival of your genes. watch a pride take over in lions or chimps finding a Male from another troop. there are degrees of racism though. people assume its to do with colour like they think disabled have to be in wheelchairs. you don't lock your front door to keep your dog in. your always going to choose who you care about over who you don't know or unfriendly people. the people who have been worse to me have been other white people. im really easy going and take people on how they are but not what they are.

Group selection theory has long been discredited over the selfish gene theory. Further, genetic differences among the races are negligible.

@srikanth same thing really

@MagRat sorry I don't know what that means

@MagRat thank you, no I'm a fan of people I like which is nothing to do with colour.

@MagRat yes thank you, its a bit like sexism too which is also bullshit.

@MagRat it sure does

They are too ashamed/scared. And too sheltered to do anything about it.

Well hopefully only somebody insane would say that. In public or not.

They have little to no support outside their group, it goes against popular opinion, it's viewed as unethical, they are outnumbered in society, they don't want to be a victim of a screaming mob.

Kind of like being an atheist, you gotta fly under the radar at times.

Do not take this as supporting racism, I try my best to not assert white privilege when I can.

As opposed to a victim of a lynch mob.
