Think Jodi Foster could/should run for political office in the U.S. ? Bet she'd win.

Only in America.

With our elected leaders constantly overstepping their boundaries and cops being the worst of traffic violators, the country is as morally and sensibly bankrupt as granny's church. Does it really matter who's at the head?

No more celebrities, tv or movie alike.

I think a turd could win if you ran it against Trump. The only way he could win a second term is if the sjws make an ass of themselves again.

Don't be surprised if it happens. Democrats are notorious for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The difference between the parties is that Republicans have a platform AGAINST abortion, gun control, and taxation, while Democrats are FOR dozens of different reforms that lead the base into too many different factions. Dems lack that singular focus because they're trying to fix everything... save the world.

I’m curious how you think sjws “making an ass of themselves” got trump a first term? Voter turnout is what got trump selected as president, there was enough division in the voting against trump that it ended up in the hands of the outdated worthless electoral college. Low voter turnout is what made this election a farce since trump won here with far less votes than Romney lost with when he ran last.

I don't know. I don't really care for celebrities going into office. Local town mayor or something, fine... see how they do. But right into higher office without being tested or without any history of what they support politically just doesn't appeal. I mean I know a lot of them are activists but when it comes to actual governmental pull... I'd rather see it in action on a smaller scale before putting them that high up.

??????

@AmelieMatisse I actually think he'd be good. It has a very interesting take on things..

@KenG but Kim as FLOTUS and the rest of the Kardashian family in cabinet positions? YIKES

No. I'm not sure of what her qualifications would be to run a country. I feel that way about Oprah too. Of course considering what we have in office right now, I would vote for anyone else.

Unless she has political experience, no.

Given that she has come out as lesbian and all, it would probably be too radical a thing to happen, even with the Trump fallout. But enough of celebrity presidents who are voted in for all the wrong reasons thanks to how dumb this country is.

I have idea what her political ideas are so without that just throwing her name out there is kind of silly.

That s why it was posted in 'silly, random and fun'
?

Depends what she is running for.

Please remember, apparently ANYONE can run and win now...but they need to be QUALIFIED!!! You have/had to be qualified for your job and so does the person for the most important job in the world--not sure governors are qualified but at least Federal experience. Sorry I misread the comment and thought it said for president. Starting out at the State level, she might be able to accomplish something but some political savvy is necessary.

Sonny Bono was a congressman, and his wife took over his seat when he died. Clearly, there are no qualifications to be met. I think we're all better served by electing smart, caring, capable people.

No....While one's profession should not be a barrier, sadly many movie stars or celebrities get a 'big head' about themselves and I feel it clouds their vision. I would rather see someone who has not had the limelight casting shadows upon a politician but rather someone who is more grounded through what they did in their lives. Of course, this excludes most politicians as well....lol.

She does have some impressive credentials, having graduated from Yale. She is at least as qualified as Don the Con, but I don't see that she has any qualifications that make me want to see her run.

1

Has she said she intends to run for office?

No. I've been seeing politically aimed memes/quotes of her.
Just crossed my mind that she could.
She's smart and has the recognition. Probably the money.
After Trumpodaklown, running is a wide open arena.
