Can anyone tell me what a private investigator charge for a background check?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.You can do one online yourself for about $50. If you have a friend who is a landlord and does background checks for renters, you might be able to get it cheaper through whatever service they use.

That would depend on how deep the search. General background is a piece of cake. An in depth one such as the FBI conducts for Top Secret security clearances is another animal altogether.

And frequently in error.
I've tried. They provide almost nothing and 75% of the time, the profile is wildly inaccurate.
@LIB75002 I have had 100%..But i use the "one free check" most sites offer and use someone I know with an unrelated name to see if they are actually accurate, then gladly pay the $49.95 or whatever if they are.
Oh, and how do you think a "background checker" person does it nowadays?
