Now, since the link has been attached, I can see that since, imo, there is more than enough wealth in this world that, if distributed proper and fairly, would alleviate most of the poverty, etc, but that wealth is controlled only by the Elitist Few both Nations and People btw, there would be no real need for caravans such the one mentioned.
The majority of these refugees in this caravan would be seeking a better life for themselves and the children, BUT a relatively few may just be ' hitching' a ride with the innocents also.
I have seen the refugees fleeing from the Middle East regions in their droves claiming to be escaping from persecution and war in their home countries BUT there are countless able-bodied men amongst them who could, and should, have remained behind to FIGHT for their homes, etc, BUT they, instead, seem intent upon hiding behind the skirts of the women, Why is that I wonder?
FFS, we have seen groups of women in the Middle East who have taken up arms and fought for their countries while these so-called 'men' have turned tail and hidden behind women and children.
I, for one, am a pacificist BUT try to take over the country I love and, by all that is in the Universe, I WILL NOT run and hide behind the skirts of women and children I WILL stand and fight so why can't these men do the same?

I haven't had time to read through fully, but maybe he meant this (though it is just one anthropologist)

To which 'caravan' are we referring in this subject?
Is it; a) the trade caravans that criss-crossed Europe and Asia in the centuries B.C.E. and on through the early centuries C.E.,
b) the mythological 'caravan' of 6,000+ Hebrews through the Sinai Desert,
c) or the 'caravans' of Europeans migrating to new lands in the mid 1500s to the modern times,
d) the 'caravan' of 'refugees' heading towards the U.S. via Mexico?
I am asking this simply because the opening comment is somewhat vague to say the least.
