I read of recent that modern humans are not genetically connected to those cave dwelling Neanderthals. It seems we wear different jeans and more importantly our DNA don't do the jive together. It is apparent that we are direct descendants of a more modern version of creature cal Cro Magnon which share our DNA identically and we both wear the same jeans....All kidding aside, my point is the rules of evolution are fragile at best and even Darwin said he could be dead wrong in his assumptions. Personally I think we started life on Mars and are trying to get back there. But then thats just men because women apparently started on Venus.
I know your being "funny", but in one way, at least, you are somewhat correct. Neanderthals, tho we did interbreed somewhat with them, are not of our direct lineage, from all we can discern now. There are many hominids in the branching tree leading to Homo Sapiens, not all are our ancestors & all, but us, are now gone.
The "Rules" of Evolution are not 'fragile', just modifiable as new information is discovered. As is any branch of Science. There is no "Truth", nor maybe even truth, just better and better (hopefully) approximations towards actuality.
Here's one take on the subject...

Oooops. Latest "scientific" thinking may suggest further thoughts on the subject.
Source please.
I have read several studies that disagree with your assertion. Random (three second google find example): [the-scientist.com]
You're way behind the times. Plenty of evidence linking Neaderthals and modern humans (including common DNA). Do you really have purpose for posting here or were you just bored?
@DonaldHRoberts last time I checked Gaia is not a periodical generally accepted by the science community.
