Many of men's objects of worship , sculpture , towers seem to be pride of penis .
You are the second person to go down the phalic route, but I think there could be a lot more to these than that, if that is the main thing then why don't they look more like penises.

Another, more recent example can be seen in the German "Pickelhaube." [en.wikipedia.org]. As the article suggest the earlier ones had horsehair plumes attached as a sort of ceremonial function. Later, I have heard, it was used to impale attackers. Somehow one can't dissociate a penis symbol since it was worn primarily by men.
