Weapon of Mouse Destruction
yes, that she is!
Snakes make great housemates !
i feel quite honored actually.
That's great. At least your roommate will be pretty quiet. Is this a pet, or did it just move in?
i'm not into pet-ownership at all, Jim. she just appeared one night, & is still claiming that shelf as her residence for now.
@walklightly I suspected that was the case. It's pretty amazing that she found a human who wouldn't harm her.
@JimG, yes, & i dread the moment when the house mate returns from a weekend with his girlfriend; he has his kids visiting occasionally, & i will be moving out on thursday anyway. i hope cleopatra (just chose that name for her on the spur of a moment) will be tolerated, if not appreciated.
@walklightly I would like to think so, and Cleopatra is a terrific name.
@JimG, house mate back, Cleopatra gone ?
@walklightly It must be disappointing to see her leave, however you will always have a memory of a rare, incredible occurrence. Most people will never have the opportunity to spend any amount of time in close proximity and in a bond of mutual respect with a "wild" animal, and a great majority will never grasp that they missed out on something special.
@JimG, wise words & so true. anyway, as i mentioned before, i'll be moving out in 3 days; & by "moving out" i mean out into the bush, respective the beach. i will surely have heaps of opportunities for encounters with wildlife of all walks & flights. adventure, here i come!
@walklightly good luck in your travels.
@JimG, thank you plenty.

Posted by InsectraA cute grey treefrog (Hyla versicolor) that I found in my birch tree, this afternoon. His camouflage was great and I only discovered him when I heard him calling.
